New immune therapy takes on deadly brain cancer in major trial

NCT ID NCT06805305

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding a new immune cell treatment (DOC1021) to standard therapy can help people with a newly diagnosed aggressive brain cancer called glioblastoma live longer. About 180 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either standard care alone or standard care plus DOC1021 and an immune booster. The treatment uses the patient's own blood cells to create a personalized vaccine-like therapy injected near lymph nodes.
