First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 9 times
Summary
This study looked at 100 adults with type 1 diabetes who had diabetic ketoacidosis, a serious condition where blood sugar gets too high. Researchers compared two insulin approaches: one group got their usual long-acting insulin plus a continuous IV insulin drip, while the other group only got the IV drip. The goal was to see which method helped patients leave the ICU faster and avoid a relapse.
