Heart scans after cardiac arrest: quick or wait?
NCT ID NCT04876222
First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looked at 212 patients who had a cardiac arrest outside the hospital and woke up (no coma). Researchers compared getting a heart angiogram right away versus waiting 12-24 hours. The goal was to see which timing better prevents death, shock, or another arrest. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
