Heart attack timing study: is faster always better after cardiac arrest?
NCT ID NCT04876222
First seen May 07, 2026 ยท Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 212 people who had a cardiac arrest outside the hospital and woke up quickly (no coma). Researchers compared getting a heart angiogram right away versus waiting 12-24 hours. The goal was to see which approach better prevents death, shock, or another cardiac arrest. The study was stopped early, so results are limited.
