Stroke study: does bypassing radiology save brains?
NCT ID NCT03969511
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at whether people with a severe stroke should be taken directly to the procedure room instead of first going through the radiology department. The goal was to see if this faster route leads to better recovery and independence three months later. The trial included 120 adults aged 18 to 85 with severe stroke symptoms, but it was stopped early, so results are limited.
