First seen May 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using a special laser (diode laser) after a common dental procedure called direct pulp capping can help reduce pain and tooth sensitivity. Fifty-six people with tooth decay that reached the nerve were treated. Half got standard care, and half got standard care plus the laser. The goal was to see if the laser group had less discomfort after the procedure.
