NCT ID NCT07545187
First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding diltiazem gel to standard fusidic acid cream helps heal episiotomy cuts (a surgical cut made during childbirth) better than the cream alone. One hundred first-time mothers applied the treatment twice daily for 10 days and were checked on days 3, 7, and 10. The goal was to see if the combination reduces infection, pain, and helps women resume sexual activity sooner.
