Summary
This study tested whether a talking therapy called dignity therapy can improve feelings of dignity and self-esteem in people with end-stage cancer. 48 patients with less than 6 months to live took part. The therapy involved guided conversations to help them reflect on their life and values. Results may show if this approach can ease emotional suffering at the end of life.
