Summary
This study tested whether a talking therapy called dignity therapy can improve feelings of dignity and self-esteem in people with end-stage cancer. 48 patients with advanced cancer and less than 6 months to live took part. The therapy involved guided conversations about what matters most to them, aiming to reduce emotional distress and improve quality of life.
