Summary

This trial tests whether a digitally assisted self-rehabilitation program, delivered through the Stand'hop app, can improve walking performance in adults aged 65 and older who have recently experienced a fall. Participants will either receive the app-based program alongside standard rehabilitation care or standard care alone. The study measures changes in walking speed, stride length, and other gait parameters over seven weeks to see if the digital approach offers added benefits.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only, not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance
Digitally assisted self-rehabilitation program using the Stand'hop app
What this could lead to
If effective, this digital program could offer a scalable, motivating way to improve walking and reduce falls in older adults, easing the burden on healthcare systems.
What could go wrong
This is an early study focused on measuring changes in walking, not yet proving fall reduction. The app's benefits may vary, and adherence to self-rehabilitation could be challenging for some.
