Digital denture scans put to the test against Old-School molding
NCT ID NCT07377890
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a digital scanner can be as accurate as the traditional method of molding the mouth for dentures. Ten adults who have lost all their teeth will have their mouths scanned three times with a digital scanner and also have a conventional impression taken. The goal is to see if the digital approach can match the gold standard for capturing the shape of the gums and movable areas.
