Summary
This study tested a personalized digital splint for teenagers with a jaw joint problem called disc displacement. The splint was designed using 3D scans and imaging to help reposition the jaw and reduce pain. 48 participants wore the splint and were followed over time to see if their chewing, pain, and quality of life improved. The goal was to control symptoms, not cure the condition.
