First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study tested a new sensor (CIMON) that measures how well compression bandages reduce swelling in people with chronic leg edema. 52 participants wore the sensor for 14 days while receiving their usual compression treatment. The goal was to see if the sensor accurately tracks swelling changes compared to standard methods like tape measurements and X-rays.
