First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at how diet and gut bacteria are linked to sarcopenia, the age-related loss of muscle mass and strength. Researchers will analyze the eating habits and gut microbes of 1,220 adults aged 60 and older. The goal is to understand if certain diets that cause inflammation affect muscle health through changes in gut bacteria. Results may help design better nutrition plans to prevent or manage sarcopenia.
