Can a healthy diet help beat cancer? 15-Year food study launched
NCT ID NCT01570010
Summary
This study is testing whether following specific healthy eating guidelines can help people live longer and prevent their colorectal cancer from coming back after surgery. About 500 patients who have had curative surgery for early-stage colorectal cancer will be followed for 15 years. Half will receive intensive dietary coaching for a year, followed by long-term support, while the other half receives standard care, to see if the diet improves survival rates.
