Can a healthy diet help beat cancer? 15-Year study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT01570010
Summary
This study is testing whether following specific healthy eating guidelines for many years can help people live longer and prevent their colorectal cancer from coming back after surgery. About 500 patients who had surgery for early-stage colorectal cancer are participating. One group receives intensive dietary coaching and support for 15 years, while the other group receives standard care, to see if the diet makes a difference in survival.
