First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at how often a new heart procedure called pulsed field ablation (PFA) for atrial fibrillation causes temporary diaphragm paralysis. About 250 adults having their first PFA will get a special X-ray before and after the procedure to check diaphragm movement. The goal is to better understand this side effect and how often it happens.
