New powder dressing tested to heal diabetic foot wounds faster

NCT ID NCT05046158

Summary

This study tested whether a transforming powder dressing works better than standard wound dressings to heal diabetic foot ulcers. 135 adults with long-standing diabetic foot sores were randomly assigned to receive either the new powder dressing or standard care for up to 12 weeks. Researchers measured how many wounds completely closed, how quickly they healed, and whether the new dressing caused fewer problems or less pain.
