Doctors seek better way to spot diabetes risk from common steroid drugs

NCT ID NCT04258293

Summary

This study aims to find the most accurate blood test for detecting diabetes in people who need to take steroid medications (like prednisone) for more than three months. Researchers will compare three different blood tests in 75 non-diabetic patients starting long-term steroid therapy. The goal is to improve early detection so that diabetes can be managed sooner and more effectively.
