First seen Nov 15, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looks at whether combining diabetes nutrition classes with vouchers for fruits and vegetables can improve blood sugar control and quality of life for American Indian and Alaska Native adults with type 2 diabetes. About 67 participants will be split into three groups: some get both education and food vouchers, some get only education, and some get only vouchers. The goal is to find a practical way to reduce diabetes complications in communities that face higher rates of food insecurity and diabetes.
