Food vouchers & education aim to tackle diabetes in native communities
NCT ID NCT06077162
Summary
This study is testing whether combining diabetes nutrition education with practical food support helps American Indian and Alaska Native adults better manage their type 2 diabetes. Researchers are working with a community clinic to offer some participants education, some food vouchers for fruits and vegetables, and some both. The goal is to see if this combined approach improves blood sugar control, diet, and reduces food insecurity over nine months.
