Summary
This study looked at 120 adults with type 2 diabetes and gum disease to see how well their blood sugar was controlled and how it related to the severity of gum problems and cavities. Researchers grouped participants by their HbA1c levels (a measure of blood sugar control) and compared gum health and tooth decay. The goal was to better understand the connection between diabetes management and oral health.
