Scientists track eye changes in diabetes to speed up new treatments

NCT ID NCT07270133

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study aims to better understand how the retina (the light-sensitive part of the eye) changes in people with diabetes. Researchers will use various eye tests, like vision checks and special scans, to see how these changes relate to the severity of diabetic eye disease. The goal is to find better ways to measure eye health in future treatment trials. About 450 adults with diabetes and some without will take part.
