Summary
This study tested whether combining telephone-delivered diabetes education with technology tools could help African Americans better manage type 2 diabetes. Researchers worked with 200 African American adults who had poorly controlled blood sugar levels. The program provided culturally tailored coaching and skills training over the phone, along with technology to monitor progress, aiming to improve long-term diabetes management.
