Scientists use advanced ultrasound to unravel link between diabetes and hand pain
NCT ID NCT06933511
Summary
This completed study aimed to understand how diabetic nerve damage (polyneuropathy) affects carpal tunnel syndrome. Researchers examined 84 participants using special ultrasound techniques to measure nerve stiffness and blood flow, along with hand function tests. The goal was to see if diabetes makes carpal tunnel symptoms worse and to learn how these conditions interact.
