Sugar water injection offers new hope for PTSD relief
NCT ID NCT04421573
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple injection of diluted sugar water (dextrose) around neck nerves can help control PTSD symptoms. It compares this injection treatment against delayed or usual care in 24 people who have had PTSD for over a year. The goal is to see if this accessible office procedure is feasible and if it reduces PTSD symptoms, anxiety, and depression.
