Vitamin B5 shots may speed up wound healing in new study

NCT ID NCT07395674

First seen Feb 09, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tests whether injecting a vitamin B5 derivative (dexpanthenol) under the skin around chronic wounds can help them heal faster. About 40 adults with non-infected diabetic foot, venous leg, or arterial ulcers will receive either standard wound care alone or standard care plus the injections. Researchers will measure changes in wound size and skin regrowth over time to see if the added treatment is safe and effective.
