Summary
This study looked at 50 adults having heart bypass surgery to see if one sedative (dexmedetomidine) causes less confusion after surgery than another (midazolam). The goal was to find a way to reduce postoperative delirium, a common problem after heart surgery. Researchers checked patients for signs of confusion using a standard test.
