Summary
This study will compare two medications, dexmedetomidine and fentanyl, given through a vein during general anesthesia for major abdominal cancer surgery. The goal is to see which drug better maintains heart function and stable blood pressure. About 70 adults undergoing elective surgery will take part, and their heart output will be measured using a non-invasive monitor.
