Summary

This study compares two medications, dexmedetomidine and fentanyl, given during general anesthesia for major abdominal cancer surgery. The goal is to see which drug better maintains heart function and stability during and after the operation. Seventy adults undergoing elective surgery will be monitored with a non-invasive device to track heart performance. The results may help improve pain control and recovery for cancer patients.
