Summary

This study tests a medicated skin patch (dexmedetomidine) to see if it can reduce agitation in people with Alzheimer's dementia. About 150 participants living in care facilities will receive either the patch or a placebo. The main goal is to measure changes in agitated behavior over 96 hours.
