First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding dexmedetomidine to two types of anesthesia improves how well surgeons can see the surgical area during endoscopic sinus surgery for chronic sinusitis. Fifty adults aged 18-50 with mild to moderate health risk (ASA I-II) took part. The goal was to see if the drug helps reduce bleeding and improve visibility, making surgery easier and potentially safer.
