First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a sedative drug called dexmedetomidine can help keep eye pressure stable during spine surgery when patients are lying face-down. High eye pressure during surgery can sometimes harm vision. The trial will enroll 60 adults and measure eye pressure at several points during the operation. Results will help doctors decide if this drug should be used routinely to protect eyesight.
