First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study looked at whether the Dexcom G7 continuous glucose monitor gives accurate readings in diabetes patients who have poor blood circulation during hospital stays. Sixty adults with diabetes wore the device for up to 10 days while receiving standard care. Researchers compared the CGM readings to standard finger-stick blood glucose tests, especially during surgery or intensive care when circulation is impaired.
