New study checks if common pain drug is safe for Kids' nerves during surgery

Summary

This study looks at whether giving dexamethasone near the nerves or through a vein is safe and works well for pain relief in children having hand or forearm surgery. About 150 kids aged 3 months to 16 years will take part. Researchers will check for nerve problems and measure pain control over 12 months.
