Summary
This study tests whether a longer-acting steroid (dexamethasone palmitate) given before open surgery can better prevent nausea and vomiting than standard treatments. About 500 adults having open surgery on the spine, chest, or abdomen will take part. The goal is to see if this drug works better and has fewer side effects.
