First seen May 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving a single dose of dexamethasone (a steroid) before spinal anesthesia for planned C-sections can prevent common side effects like low blood pressure, nausea, and vomiting, and also improve pain relief after surgery. About 176 pregnant women will receive either the drug or a placebo. The goal is to make the procedure safer and more comfortable for mothers and their babies.
