First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study tests whether injecting a corticosteroid (dexamethasone) into the tissue around the new hip joint during surgery can lower pain, nausea, and time in the hospital. About 110 adults aged 50-90 with a broken hip will take part. The goal is to see if this simple addition improves recovery without extra risks.
