First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving dexamethasone, dexmedetomidine, or both can help the gut work normally again after laparoscopic gallbladder removal. About 160 adults having this surgery will receive one of the drugs or a placebo right after anesthesia. Researchers will track nausea, vomiting, bowel movements, and hospital stay to see which approach works best.
