Promising drug for painful hand and foot pustules fails to recruit enough patients
NCT ID NCT07000630
First seen Mar 22, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study aimed to see if deucravacitinib, a pill taken daily, could reduce pustules and improve quality of life in people with moderate-to-severe palmoplantar pustulosis (PPP). Only 3 people enrolled before the trial was stopped early. The drug works by calming the immune system, but because lifelong treatment is needed, it is not a cure.
