First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study looked at 416 people who had elective left-sided colon surgery. On days 3 to 5 after surgery, each person got both a CT scan with rectal contrast and an endoscopy to check for leaks where the colon was reconnected. The goal was to see how accurate each test is at finding these leaks. Patients were followed for 42 days after surgery.
