First seen Jan 25, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study looked at how two different anesthesia drugs—desflurane and propofol—affect the thickness of the sheath around the optic nerve during laparoscopic gallbladder removal. 146 adults aged 18-60 with mild health issues took part. The goal was to see if one drug causes less pressure on the eye nerve, which could help prevent vision problems during surgery.
