First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study compares two common anesthetics, desflurane and propofol, used during coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. The goal is to see if desflurane better protects the heart and lowers the chance of major complications like death, heart failure, or irregular heartbeat within 30 days after surgery. About 3,560 adults scheduled for elective CABG will take part.
