Summary
This study tests a new treatment called Descartes-08 for people with dermatomyositis or antisynthetase syndrome, two rare diseases that cause muscle inflammation and weakness. The treatment uses a patient's own immune cells, modified to target and calm the overactive immune system. About 60 adults will receive either Descartes-08 or a placebo to see if it safely improves muscle function and reduces disease activity.
