New brain aneurysm device shows promise in clinical trial

Summary
This study is testing a new device called DERIVO 2heal to treat brain aneurysms (a bulging blood vessel in the brain). The device is placed inside the artery to block blood flow to the aneurysm and prevent it from bursting. About 158 adults with a brain aneurysm will receive the device. Researchers will check how well it works and how safe it is over the short and long term.
