Tooth sealant showdown: which one stops cavities best?
NCT ID NCT07388472
Summary
This study compared three different types of dental sealants to see which ones stay on children's teeth the longest and work best to prevent cavities. Researchers followed 200 healthy children, aged 6-12, for two years after applying the sealants to their back molars. They checked the teeth every few months to see if the sealants were still in place and if any new cavities had formed.
