Gentle drill could widen jawbone for implants without extra surgery
NCT ID NCT07436533
Summary
This study is testing a special, gentle drilling technique called osseodensification to widen narrow jawbone ridges so dental implants can be placed. It involves 30 adults with thin jawbone who need implants. Researchers will measure how much the bone width increases right after using this technique, without needing separate bone grafting procedures.
