Gentle drill could widen jawbone for implants without extra surgery
NCT ID NCT07436533
Summary
This study is testing a special, gentle drilling technique called osseodensification to see if it can safely widen narrow jawbone ridges to prepare for dental implants. The goal is to see if this method can create enough space for an implant in one step, without needing a separate bone graft surgery. Researchers will measure the jawbone width before and immediately after the procedure in about 30 adult patients with narrow ridges.
