Study tests gentler dental implant method
NCT ID NCT07159529
Summary
This study compared two ways of placing dental implants in the lower back jaw. Researchers wanted to see if a less invasive 'flapless' technique caused less bone loss and pain, and led to better healing, than the traditional 'flap' method. They measured bone loss, implant stability, and patient pain over six months in 20 participants.
