Dental implant study tests best fix for tiny bone gaps
NCT ID NCT07501715
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 44 adults who needed a single dental implant in the back of the mouth and had a small bone gap on the cheek side. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either a connective tissue graft or guided bone regeneration to fix the gap. The researchers measured changes in gum shape and bone levels 3 months after surgery and 12 months after the crown was placed.
